Joy Kilgore, President of Executive Business Approach LLC and 40_prime, has built a career of collaborating with business owners. From start-up businesses to organizations focused on steady growth, to those adding multiple locations, she has partnered with owners, top-level executives and boards of directors to find innovative ways of delivering a fresh and optimistic approach to creating excellence. With a focus on achieving results, she combines business development, product innovation, systems efficiency, marketing and sales to increase the bottom line.

By traveling extensively across the country and meeting with business leaders from remodeling companies of all sizes, she understands how the industry has changed and continues to adjust. With a background in business management, marketing and sales training development, Joy has worked with leading professionals to develop programs that benefit management teams and sales leaders.

Joy plays a vital role in directing businesses to achieve new vision and accomplish major transitional endeavors. A speaker and published writer, her career has included network television series and national ad campaigns.

Graduating with honors from Christopher Newport University (1996) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Management, Joy was elected to the Alumni Board of Directors and served as President of the CNU Alumni Society. She completed the Strom Thurmond Advanced Leadership Certificate Program at Clemson University in 2005. Joy completed the EMyth Leadership Intensive Program in 2008.

Citing her work among professionals on a national level, Joy is included in Strathmore’s Who’s Who of Outstanding Professionals. Based on one's position and lifetime of accomplishments, Strathmore honors professional men and women in all academic areas and professions. Named one of the “Ten Who Will Remake the Remodeling Industry” in this century Mark Richardson, CR, is the Co-Chairman of Case. The Case brand consists of three businesses—Case Design/Remodeling which serves the greater Metropolitan DC area; Case Handyman and Remodeling, a national franchise/licensing business that operates in half the United States; and Case Institute of Remodeling, an educational and consulting operation that leverages Case’s unique perspective on the remodeling industry.

 

As an enthusiastic advocate of educating both consumers and professionals in all related sectors of the remodeling industry, Mark is a frequent national speaker on remodeling issues. He travels extensively with Pella Expos and Case Institute bringing his message to remodeling companies of all sizes and business models.

 

Richardson recently became a regular columnist for Professional Remodeler and Custom Builder. He was author of two monthly columns on industry and business topics for Remodeling Magazine and Think Business for several years, Mark is featured in national media outlets such as HGTV, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Market Watch and Forbes Magazine among others. For over ten years, Mark hosted “Our House” –a consumer radio show. Tapped by Home Depot, Richardson led a series of online remodeling workshops designed to offer home improvement professionals information to implement effective and intelligent business practices.

 

Mark received his Bachelor of Architecture with honors from Virginia Tech. He earned his Certified Remodeler (CR) designation from the National association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) in 1986. In June of 2006, Mark was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Real Estate & Construction for the Maryland Region. He is the only remodeler in the twenty-year history of the program to receive this distinction. In 2008, he was inducted into the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) remodelers Hall of Fame.

 

Mark is an active Board Member of the Better Business Bureau of Greater

Washington DC, the GE Money Board, and the advisory council of Advantage Media. He is a guest lecturer for the MBA programs at Virginia Tech, Georgetown University and George Washington University.

 

Harvard University recently appointed Richardson as an Affiliate for Harvard’s

Remodeling Futures Program and the remodeling industry. He, along with Fred

Case, holds a seat on the Remodeling Futures Board of Harvard

University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.
